Bonjour, Pierre!

Today, let us introduce you to Pierre, the latest addition to the Flambeaux Bicycle Tours team!

After riding miles and miles in Europe along the Danube and the Rhine rivers on a touring bike he built himself, Pierre decided to spread his wings and to fly across the Atlantic Ocean for new adventures.

Unlike the Winged Victory of Samothrace, Pierre still has his arms and hands, and decided to use them for the better in joining our team as a bike-mechanic. Every flat fixed or wheel trued is indeed a small victory over the potholes and shattered glass that New Orleans is infamous for!

Next time you call us, don’t be surprised to be welcomed by a cute French accent…that’s Pierre on the line! He left his tools on his bench and ran across the shop to answer the phone.

When he’s not at Flambeaux, Pierre is probably hanging out with other cyclists, either volunteering with Bike Easy or on his bike with one of New Orleans Social Rides. His latest quest is to find the best Coffee in the city, so don’t hesitate to ask him for recommendations or let him know about your favorite place!

With Pierre on our team, we’re excited to be open again for rentals from Thursdays to Mondays. Come by and say “bonjour”!
