John’s family has deep ties to South Louisiana: Cajuns who never learned to speak English, Germans who descended from some of the earliest settlers of Louisiana, and Sicilian immigrants who worked sugarcane plantations to bring their family to the new world.
As for John himself, he’s been a theatre kid, debate nerd, spent a spell as a history teacher, and has been giving tours of New Orleans for the last five years.
His tour mixes through research with engaging storytelling, topped off with joy and humor. It’s a good show, and can be customized for what topics and locations you want to see.
