As a rental company, we never exactly know what our clients do with the bikes they rent. How many miles did they ride? What have these baskets carried? How many daiquiris did the cup holders hold? Sometimes small clues like a little powder sugar or dried drops of coffee on the frame suggest a stop has been made at Cafe du Monde in City Park. If these bikes could talk what stories would they tell?

What we know is that some of our clients are just like us…they have a touch of craziness. Being a dedicated member of the NOLA bike community Eric wasn’t surprised to find out I, Pierre, planned on taking part of the World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) on Saturday…but both of us were amused to find out that some of the bikes rented on Saturday made it to the ride as well!

Regardless of naked rides and worldwide epidemics, our sanitizing process is the same: we disinfect seats, handlebars and helmets after each tour and each rental. This morning we used an extra Lysol wipe or two, just out of extra caution!

All things considered, it may be for the best that our beloved bikes don’t talk!
